What makes a good web site? At SOSensible we asked that question not just from a business owner's view but we wanted to know how users and affiliates, owners and managers, developers and data administrators, designers and marketers looked at the picture. This is what we call synergy. It is a word that comes from greek syn-ergo and it means to work together. We learned that good web sites use technology to achieve synergy and not as a priority over it.

Now if SOSensible is mindful of synergy what are we doing to contribute to the internet synergy and what tools do we have that provide this reaching power?
  • COOP
    This is a coding framework that focuses on the view side of layout. If you can imagine putting less code on a page, working on the view without cluttering the page with program logic and still working better with it then you have COOP. If you cannot then we suggest you contact us for an eye opening experience.

  • ColdFusion 8 Developer Tutorial
    The ColdFusion community said they loved the CFWACK book series but they also wanted something in a single book that could get someone up and running. ColdFusion certainly doesn't take a whole book to get that accomplished so we completed the book with many cool and exciting things like how use AJAX features, PDF integration and more.

  • D2O
    This is the chemical formula for heavy water, and that is famous as the key to one day making Cold Fusion the answer for our energy problems. That is the name that landed for a very popular web development language we specialize in at SOSensible. D2O is also the name of a pet project we are working on that is a browsers side IDE for doing web development. We don't expect it to replace other IDEs be we do approach it as a synergistic product that will add value.
  • Other Projects
    We are going to create a labs section of the site and target launching that in October. We are working on to many things to list them all here! Even some exciting new news with our SOS project. SOS is a specialized 'Collaboration Application Framework'. If you attended the Framework Conference in 2007 we presented version 4. Version 5 will go into beta soon and it is a result of the feedback and technology that enables a better synergy focused product.
