Welcome to the Blog
This is the new SOSensible site blog. We hope you find stuff worthy of your visit!

Drumroll for what is next please

(Posted on 26-Jan-10)

OK... after a season of silence we have some good news. I will be preblogging about these topics and the releases that will be coming up.

PROJECTS

  • SOS - version 7 will be our next public release and collaboration is expressed with passion this round.
  • COOP - version 2 is a dream to use in a way you hope to dream about it again
  • CFish - version 2 is about skinning a web site done right.
  • sosFactory - version 1.5, spring is nice but for many it is the spaghetti of OO development. Simpler IoC/Di is possible with this tool.
  • sosContent - This CFC helps make custom tags meaningful again.
  • (more) ... we will talk about more after we get these to the community (or get distracted by them... lol)

We have been busy on these. Not only these but we have been working on

  • an open source blog written by Timothy Farrar (yes he is related).
  • A forum applicaiton for sale. (We need a commercial option to the old code solution)
  • (more free and paid apps here also, if you want to build and have us promote your apps on our platforms contact us)
  • my update for my CF book is almost complete (now the editor process is taking swing... book should be out in a couple of months)
  • Wrote an article for upcoming CFAQ (yes... it's coming back)
  • New look and feel for this site... hang on for a design face lift.
  • Lastly we are working on an education certification software solution. Videos are great for tutorials but we will tell you more later about our wild next gen learning site in the works.

Hang on for 2010 at the office of SOSensible because we are expecting a wild ride. Let's take the economic bump and think offroad. Rather than getting depressed we are looking to provide new ideas and solutions to stimulate business and technology. Maybe passing bills to put our country into debt to ease the temporary pain will work but creating business and enabling others to do business within a budget is our plan of action!
